Outbound di Kulon Progo Yogyakarta, Outbound di Orang Utan Kulon Progo..

In Jogja Orangutan Centre, orangutans which cannot be released to their natural habitat will be treated properly based on animal welfare. They will be kept in a super big dome which is set similarly to forest atmosphere so they can climb tree, swing between tree and make nest. In Jogja  Orangutan Centre, they can act their natural behavior until the end of their time. Jogja Orangutan Centre is their final home.

The dome built in Yayasan Konservasi Alam Yogyakarta field project in Paingan Village, Sendangsari, Pengasih Subdistrict, Kulonprogo District consists of two parts. The first part is two small domes, 14 x 14 meter wide each and 8 meter high. Each dome can accommodate eight to twelve orangutans.

The two small domes function as introductional cage. Confiscated or voluntarily submitted orangutan will first put in this small dome. In this dome, orangutan will experience observation before finally they are placed in the super dome.

The super dome has 125 meter diameter and 25 meter high. At the  centre, will be built artificial tree, the stem is from concrete with real branches and leaves. Using technology, in seven years, the giant stem will be covered by the grow of natural branches and leaves, so it will look like real tree. Observation towards orangutan can be done from the inside of this giant tree.

Both small domes and super dome will be built using galvanic steel which can resist rust up to tens years. In this super dome, orangutans can move, swing and behave freely as in their natural habitat.
